So I hear you asking, who am I, and what on Earth gives me the right to write a self-help book?
I can't sit here and tell you that I have a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, or that I have studied creative writing and journalism. So, if that is the type of writing and advice you want to read, you'll most likely be disappointed.
What I can tell you is that this book is raw. It is real. I believe that it will be much more relatable to you, and therefore more transformative.
Trust me, I would not be sitting up on my soap box, or remotely giving out advice to anyone if I truly did not believe to my core that it would change your life, and as a result, help you to gain everything that you have ever wished for.
I grew up in the South of England. Experienced a broken and shattered family by the age of 4. Had major trust issues and a broken heart by the age of 18. I rebelled at 20. Then came the physical and mental trauma for the next 14 years. Survival mode and self-destructive patterns were both in full swing.
Until I finally decided enough was enough. I knew I was always destined for more. Very much how you feel right now I'd imagine.
Like you, I didn't know why or how, but I just KNEW deep down that I deserved so much more. I understood that my time on this planet was meant to be more substantial (No matter how many times I had hit rock bottom). I just needed to pull myself out of the downward spiral.
I began to research WHY I was miserable. WHY I was always attracting such negativity and WHY I was constantly being triggered by everything. I wanted to know WHY I was unhappy and repeating the same negative behaviours when I knew in my bones that this was not ‘it'.
Everything you'll read in this book is what helped me gain the beautiful life and mindset that I now have. The content of this book is the priceless change that made me who I am today. I want to gift it to you so that you don't have to go through anymore hardship yourself. I want you to have the answers, right now.
Negative experiences and stress still occur every now and then, of course, that is part of the journey we are all on. We can't fully avoid that, unfortunately. I still get triggered by my past. I still have low days. I experience the equally beautiful highs and the lows that life has to offer… even after working through my trauma and gaining the essential awareness that you soon will.
This book will show you how to improve your thoughts and your emotions. It will explain how to move on from the past pain that’s been holding you back.
It will show you how to diminish the self-doubt and rewire your perception on how everyone once hurt you. It will help you to be more spiritually grounded and in-tune with your physical body. Most importantly it will help motivate you to reach the success that you desire. And maintain it.
Like I said, I still experience the pain, the triggers and the stress, like everyone does, but with this knowledge I know how to make that pain and stress short lived. I know how to process it, accept it, and move on from it. Focusing only on my personal growth, forever happiness and life purpose.
I now live in Florida with my beautifully supportive, patient and compassionate fiancé, Andy. We have a 7 year old dachshund, Leo, who is our entire world. It's Leos world, we just live in it!
